In a spectacular 72nd Independence Day in India, The Cheif Minister of Telangana state KCR launched KANTI VELUGU programme in Telangana. The main aim of Kanti Velugu is to provide free check-ups for people living Telangana state, and provide spectacles with free of cost, and provide surgeries also if they need.
The final goal of Kanti Velugu is " Avoidable blindness free Telangana.

Kanti Velugu is a mega Eye Screening Programme for the people who are living in Telangana state.
This Programme conducts eye screening and vision test camps for the entire population in Telangana state. And also Telangana state govt would provide spectacles with free of cost for needy people who are suffering from vision problems.
Arrangements would be made for the people, who need surgeries and medicines free of cost. Furthur steps would be taken to educate people in Telangana to prevent serious Eye vision problems.
In all, 812 camps are deployed to cover entire Telangana state, in all 12,752 villages of entire Telangana State.
It was launched Primary Health Care Centre wise in rural areas. And ward wise camps in urban areas.
Camps running from 15th Aug 2018. Monday to Friday camps will work, and Saturday and Sunday Holidays for Kanti Velugu Programme.
